Minimizes die-off reaction
Candida albicans is a variety of fungus which normally occupies mucous membranes and the intestinal tract. When candida occupies the body in a balanced state, it poses no harm. When environments exist to promote yeast growth, elevated levels of Candida may result in a number of uncomfortable symptoms.
Common symptoms associated with imbalance can include: occasional indigestion, gas, distetion, mucus in the bowel, vaginal or rectal itching or discomfort, diaper rash in children, urinary tract infections, and oral thrush.
Candidase Pro provides high potency enzymes for maintaining a healthy balance of Candida albicans, thus minimizing occurrences of symptoms associated with overgrowth.
Yeast overgrowth is often caused by low levels of microflora, as well as continued use of antibiotics and various suppressed immune system scenarios. Over time, Candida may damage the intestinal walls, resulting in a weakened ability to properly absorb nutrients. Candida cleansing protocols are typically known for a host of negative effects commonly described as die-off (Herxheimer) reaction. Many individuals experience flu-like symptoms with headaches, achy/sore joints and general malaise upon destruction of yeast organisms. These uncomfortable symptoms are often enough to disrupt patient compliance in conventional cleaning and detoxifying programs, thus preventing the restoration of balance in GI flora.
As an alternative, enzyme supplementation may prove to be an effective and more desirable protocol for yeast management. Enzymes provide natural cleansing and place less stress on the body.
The cell wall of Candida is composed of polysaccharide-rich chitin, and the inner portion of the cell is made up of protein. Cellulase enzymes are not found naturally in the human body, however cellulase is required from diet to allow breakdown of cellulose found in chitin. A formula such as Candida Complex, which contains enzymes necessary for breaking down the inner and outer portion of C. albicans cells, illustrates a logical, therapeutic, an effective protocol for managing yeast overgrowth. Occasionally, a snesitive individual may need to "cleanse" Candida more slowly than other less-sensitive individuals. However the enzyme approach is one which typically offers minimization of die-off altogether. This may result in a much more tolerable and successful cleanse, particularly for sensitive individuals.
